Originated in Second Life. Kinda a mishmosh of made up critters similar to (though less popular than) sergals.
Part of the idea is that cruxes are created instead of born and they're all 'cracked' in some way. Helix here tends to be manic and borderline-feral, though lately he's been on the cuter end.
