Knight's End WIP
The blue cheetah sat in their usual spot in Nazul's, twirling her finger around in the warm liquid, listening lazily as Solo spoke to another smuggler in front of her. Quiet days were rare, and, frankly, she was glad for that. It always seemed as if something was wrong when they weren't dodging blaster fire or some huge monster they landed too close to.
"Hey." The voice was familiar. Quaylak turned her head to look up into the dark grin of an old friendly face.
"Wielder!" she exclaimed, opening her arms and throwing them around the broad shoulders of the taller female. The smuggler grabbed Wielder by her arms and pushed back to look at her, suddenly surprised. Han must have been too as he ceased his conversation of bawdy humor.
"Hey, Dog, where did the bath robes get to?" asked the alley cat smuggler as he gave her a crooked grin, leaning back against the worn leather of the booth.
Quaylak felt it then, a pain in her gut that mirrored the wolf's. She cut a dangerous warning stare at Han before Wielder laid a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder. "I have no need for them any more," she offered simply. "I am, however, in the need for work."
Han leaned forward on his elbows, chewing on a toothpick as his gaze alternated between Quaylak and Wielder. "I don't have much use for Jedi, Wielder," he began, flicking the used splinter of wood with one clawed hand. He looked to her right hip and saw a blaster hanging from two belts at her side. "You know how to use that thing."
She gave him a sarcastic smile. "I have a working knowledge, but I'm sure I'll become proficient with all of the trouble the three of you are going to get me into."
"Hey now! I didn't say that I was going to...!"
"We'd love to have you on the Falcon," offered Quaylak, turning to Han to hammer the idea into his thick skull. Chewie growled in agreement.
"You always take her side," pouted Solo as he punched the arm of his wookie companion.
Wielder nodded in gratitude and began walking towards the bar to get a drink. A worried expression crossed the cheetah's face as she stepped up beside the wolf at the bar. "Wielder...what happened?" she asked, her large brown eyes flickering in the bad lighting of the cantina as she placed her paw softly on Wielder's right shoulder.
"I'd rather not talk about it, if it's all the same to you, Quay'," Wielder responded, not being harsh but remaining stern.
Quaylak nodded understandingly, ordering a drink herself as the two of them sat at the bar. "You know," she began after she plunked her shot glass down onto the dusty bar, "Obi-Wan would not approve of this."
Wielder gave her morose smile and downed her whole shot of liquor, letting the pleasant burn drift down slowly. "Well, good thing he doesn't have to anymore."
I KNOW THE TIMELINE IS WRONG. FUCK IT, IMMA HAVE MY FUN.
Going to be a reference of Wielder in her civilian dress. The jacket she is wearing is her dead husband's (see http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4454719/ ). This will most likely happen a few years before Anakin loses his goddamn mind. Had to include mah girl
in here soon or I was going to go through some serious lovable scoundrel withdrawal. More of this later.
Quaylak is c. quaylak.
Wielder is mine.
All other characters belong to George Lucas.

"Well, good thing he doesn't have to anymore."
You do realize that this demands explanation, don't you?
As usual, your story snippets grab the reader and don't let go, even when they're over.
I'd love to know what brought this about.
And there is nothing wrong with messing with the timeline for entertainment purposes.
This is fanfiction, damnit. We will have our fun.

I am LoneWolf's echo. But I can wait, because I know a whole lot more awesome is following this. ;)
Also, I commend you on all of your story writing....and they are stories, just short ones. ;D You have the patterns of the characters down to pat, and, at least from my point of view, they describe the scene perfectly. I have to give you a lot of Honey Bee points (lolol Teh Mitee B) for doing something a lot of other writers don't seem to master: drawing the reader in within the first sentence. You really have a way with making an indtroduction that doesn't tell too much, which is key to getting someone to read something the whole way through.
*ramble*ramble*ramble* LOLOL. Anyway, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS COLORED! *bouncysqueaks* Y'know I lorf Wielder anytime you drawr her, I am excite. 8D

I find it easiest to work in small drabbles rather than novel type chapters. The images speak a little bit for themselves, the story says what drawn context clues can't. I'm honored that someone with your skill and creativity enjoys my little ficlets, and I'm glad they've continued to remain interesting.
I think I'm going to have to draw Han, Quaylak, and Chewie on this one too. Just waitin' for mah cheetahmonstah to get refs done before I can do that, lol.

To hell with the timeline, ever since I read the Yu-zohn-Vong Expanded Universe books (and played Knights of the Old Republic) I just can't give a rat's ass about what happened when, unless it's relating to the Clone Wars that started everything toward the Force Prophecy...or the Seperatists seperating, or Jango going to the graveyard moon in a lengthy process to be found as a suitable clone-model >_>
But back to what I was saying...the Yu-Zohn-Vong or whatever they're called, it was like, the author introduced the Borg to the Ewoks, aka, no hope...or maybe I'm just reeling 'cause they *SPOILER ALERT*, AND I think they had Luke and whoever he married (Jade xd ?) name their kid Anakin, like...that's christening a ship the Titanic.

Yeah, a lot of the extended universe stuff reeks of bad fanfiction. But, as you said before, that's the beauty of this world. There are some wonderful characters that people can put their own spins on. It's pretty fun to do, and it's neat to see all the different ideas others have even if they aren't always cohesive or even good.
I really need to pick up more of the comics and books. Any suggestions?

Ooo, thank you for reminding me of that...I nearly became a hypocrite there xd.
But yeah! Let me think...it might be just because of the video game tie-in (my childhood xd) but Shadows of the Empire is kind of interesting, features Prince Xizor, Luke, and Leia, takes place before the fall of the Empire, and it might've been after the first Death Star though...actually, I think I'll read it again, I probably missed a lot since I read it as a kid.
