I tattooed this on myself the other day at work. It has a very special meaning to me, which I'll explain.
This tattoo is a memorial to a great friend of mine, and my husbands. He died right after we all came home from RCFM in 2008. We left his house, and went to Disney for a couple days, and went home. His daughter called us a day after we got home and told us she found him at home. He had heart failure.
He was a wonderful person, and an exemplary furry. He was kind to everyone, and LOVED to make fursuits! He liked to go yardsaling, and we always went to the zoo together. We spent several holidays that last year at his house. We'd bring a turkey, and he'd make the fixin's.
It's been a few years, but it still hurts, and we miss him a lot. My first tattoo I ever did is a memorial piece in his memory, which is on my husband. There's a picture of it somewhere in my gallery.
I was going to do the white rabbit too, but then I decided to do a quote from his last journal about his last convention, and the wonderful weekend we all had at RCFM that year. http://thurber2.livejournal.com/21543.html
We miss Thurber so much! I know that a tattoo won't bring him back, but I will always remember the good times we all had as friends.
*Yes, I have a big calf....shuddup.*

How do you get a journal in memorial status? I also lost a great friend and her LJ is still there, do they do that for those that have passed?
