I didn’t enter, but at that point, make it “mutuals only” if you want to be honest about it.
I get it, you want to generate a bigger audience by having your followers spread word of you, but you also want to plug yourself on bigger artists for clout from them and their followers. Totally understandable.

Note: This post is not directed at the artist for this image. It's regarding a general behavior seen elsewhere.
I'm not defending this practice, but it's unfortunately extremely common for artists to hold "raffles" to get free publicity despite hand-picking the winner (most of the time, they're predetermined before the initial post is even made).
It's insanely scummy baiting people into spreading a "raffle" they have no actual chance of winning. I honestly have no idea why people just overlook artist behavior like this so often. It directly rewards lying to your followers and promotes an inner circle pseudo-class system.

They did have a chance to win the raffle. There were two prizes, and the second one is not a mutual, I liked their character so they won. I was specific in saying I'd hand-pick the winners with this one; I can also tell you someone else would have won instead if they didn't engage in some behaviour I couldn't encourage, but do what you will of this information, if you want to believe me or not.
Nevertheless, I obviously missed the mark with this type of raffle and I'm sorry if I caused more harm than good. Merry Christmas
