It's not like Frankie was broke or desperate. Sometimes he both doesn't and feel like paying and feels like one-upping the previous shoplifting session - especially if it was a big store from a large chain.
He was particularly proud of himself for never being caught - though he rarely (if ever) bragged about it. One person could talk and suddenly everyone and their mother knows that this flamboyant law student is also an occasional petty thief. His dickhead boss at the retail store would also sack him instantly - in fact, not only does he nab shit from convenience store shelves once in a while, he also makes a point to turn a blind eye to any shoplifters at his own lousy workplace, so there's that to consider as well.
"Good thing I don't surround myself with snitches and two-faced people any longer, huh?" he mused pensively to himself before further adjusting the Skittles pack inside his leg warmer so it would stop sticking out.
