Scaling Up YCH - Borusa-Ryalam (Parts 1-5)
Here’s another Scaling Up YCH for
Borusa-Ryalam, featuring his Inteleon fellow, Dimitri, learning to appreciate the larger side of life - the far, far larger side of life, that is! I had loads of fun working on this one, especially with the backgrounds and couple of Logos I threw in throughout it. Also, I haven’t drawn any Pokémon-based characters in a decent while so it was refreshing to do that again, especially with such a unique character design!
Thank you again to
Borusa-Ryalam for commissioning me for this wonderful idea, it was a lot of fun to work on!
Part 1
—-
This place had just about all the essentials tidied up, with the exception of a decent scale. After a couple of months at the new place, Dimitri finally decided to stop procrastinating and bite the bullet - and, with the new scale, came a new revelation. Namely, the 10 pounds that had subtly climbed onto his waistline since his last weigh-in.
Now, with his already limber, thin frame, this wouldn’t have been too much to worry about, were it not for the fact that Dimitri took the minor gains in a different way than most - namely, he felt… almost happy with the extra flab. While it was hardly noticeable now, he could feel the difference - his stomach let out an almost encouraging growl as he rubbed his hand across it.
That thought - that silly, fleeting thought - could've remained as just that. And it likely would've been - if Dimitri hadn't taken it upon himself to break out a midnight snack for himself… namely, a family-size bag of chips and a tub of strawberry ice cream from the kitchen.
Part 2
—-
196 pounds, four away from a whooping 200 pounds. In some ways, it was impossible to believe he had gained so much weight in such a short time - in other ways… it wasn’t. Fast food binges had become a daily ritual for the ample amphibian, and, when paired with his gorging of all sorts of delightful donuts, indulgent ice cream, and sweet snack cakes at nearly every opportunity.
Dimitri loved the sugary, fatty taste of everything he gobbled down, of course, but what he loved, even more, was the rounded mound that now hung from his otherwise lean and limber frame. As he munched on his 4th burger of the day, looked down and smiled at his delightful potbelly, smiling warmly, eager to watch it grow even more…
Part 3
—-
300 pounds - 300 delightful, doughy pounds of cake, burgers, ice cream, and all sorts of other junk - and it was all him. Dimitri’s weight gain had only hastened since his last weigh-in, blowing past even his expectations! It was official - he loved - truly loved - being heavy. Heck, he might’ve even loved that more than the delicious food he was devouring day-in-and-day-out! His gut slorshed and slapped against his knees as he tried to maneuver himself to peak at the numbers on the scale - his grin grew wider as he realized there really wasn’t a reasonable way to see. Now, the scale did have a read-out function, so it was of no concern - but the fat obscuring the screen filled hun with a strange sense of pride… pride which inspired him to perhaps finish off another quart or four of ice cream that night…
Part 4
—
478 - a lovely number to hear, especially when midway through a delectable, butter-filled pie. At this point though, it was a bit of a miracle for Dimitri to even hear his scale reading out his impressive weight, the mechanical voice speaking as a mere whisper compared to the furious grumbling and blorping of his overstuffed stomach. Dimitri took all of these sounds for what they clearly were - encouragement to gulp down more pies! After all, he knew he could hit 500 in no time if he pushed himself just a bit harder…
Part 5
—-
For all he knew, the number could be… well, maybe 550… maybe 600 - heck, at this point, it could’ve been 700 for all he knew! But, sadly, his overtaxed scale would not be able to reveal the number he so greatly anticipated. His immense stature had finally proven too much for the device. Now, the only sound he was greeted with was the croaking of a mechanical voice box and the crinkling of broken glass - aside from the colorful assortments of groans and sloshes coming from the immense amount of flab flowing off his form.
He smirked as he looked at the crinkling bag of “Donut’in Deer” doughnuts in his flabby grip, the big-bellied deer mascot on the front giving his signature smirk and thumbs up, as though he was encouraging him to have just one more donut. He’d have to take that lightweight’s advice into consideration - by ordering 10 more bags of the frosty, doughy things! Then, once he got through those, he could start looking for a new scale - if he could track one down, that is. Finding a scale that’ll handle him ought to be mighty tricky now - perhaps that truck driver that’s been delivering his ever-growing orders may be able to help…
