These girls ADORED me. I sat with them for over half an hour. The entire time they were asking me questions, petting me, complimenting me, giving me gifts (mostly grass and twigs) It was adorable! Even though I'm not fond of children (usually) I had a blast playing with these guys. Definitely the highlight of my week, if not this whole semester =D
I have video that is unfortunately not cooperating at the moment. When I fix it I'll definitely put it up.
One thing one of the mothers said did get me to thinking. The other day there was a thread on FAF on how if you are an adult male people automatically become suspicious, thinking they are a pedophile. One user posted a story about how he stopped a boy from running into a busy parking lot and the mother flipped sh**
Now if that had been a woman would she have flipped out? Hell no!
While I was playing with these kids on Saturday my friend/handler asked one of the parents if it was reassuring to know that there was a girl in the suit and not a guy. The parent responded with a definitely, saying she wouldn't have let her children play with me there had been a guy in the suit.
Now, I know this suspicion isn't always uncalled for but I do feel it's a bit unfair to judge all men like this. As if they are all out to get your children.

A friend of mine does professional mascot work and ran into a situation like that. A family would come to Fazoli's for Family Night and he was always there for the football team and the kids loved him. He got to talking with the mom and she told him that originally the dad really was not comfortable, but in watching my friend and from talking with the mom, he got a better feeling of who was in the costume.
I think the key is to be vigilant with your kids if you have them. Don't let them be alone with strangers and if your child has a problem, to make sure the child says something right away.
Glad you had fun though, maybe one day I will be a costume girl.
