Sadly when I put the photo into the web browser it had it the right way up in the upload window, then for some reason the website flipped it onto the side after the data was added about the image.

It is maddening that not all software treats rotation data equally. When I have problems like this, I tell my photo editing software to strip all EXIF and other metadata from my image before saving it. That seems to cure the bad behavior for uploads to FA, at least.
