Me and my arrow
Straighter than narrow
Wherever we go, every one knows
It's me and my arrow
Me and my arrow
Taking the high road
Wherever we go, everyone knows
It's me and my arrow
Taking that high road today, fellow furs.
Over the past recent summer months, I've been enduring, struggling and persevering under the flesh of my usual appearance as a wolf. She's been my guardian for years and the drastic change I needed from my elementary school days to adjust to high school and college as well as in my relationship with others.
Just recently, I've felt too beaten in her. She's been through a hell of a lot and it almost came to a point where she's been so tattered I started to despise myself for it. My past and recent mistakes tarnishing all I know and love about wolves.
I'm returning to the days of my childhood when dogs were my obsession. I used to breathe, read and dream of dogs constantly as a little girl and known from my twin as "The one who loves dogs". Scooby Doo was my hero and any and every book I read was either about dogs or how to train or speak as they do. I abandoned loving them as much as I did because I felt it reflected my immaturity as a little girl loving "puppies" so much.
Now, I'm fetching that passion back to give me a little love. This breed reflects a lot of who I am. Easy going, adaptable, good with people and looks almost like a shaggy hippy. I owe a lot of this change not only to myself but from the influence of my friend
calleemcborder for helping me gingerly remember that I have a lot of redeeming, canine like, qualities that I so long ago had forgotten.
With that being said...here I am :3 ....
now, who wants to play frisbee?

:O! You told me you were a canine, you didn't tell me you were a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever!! I love the breed, and have ever since I got my book of dog breeds at least 10 years back :3 Wonderful choice, and fitting for you :) This will call for giftart... perhaps with a certain black and white pal of yours, if that would be acceptable? ;3
Thank you honey! I'm so honored to be apart of the dog world like you,
calleemcborder, and
dogbomb! Y'all are great representatives

never heard of that breed. maybe Obama should adopt one, then suddenly everybody woudl want one, like with that portuguese water dog. poor things, being kept in tiny big city appartments then. :P
what a story. good thing you found back to what feels comfortable again. also, cool shirt! all the folds make it almost hiding your curves... I guess one would have to throw that frisbee to get a good look at them. ^^

Actually- that's beneficial the shirt happens to be hiding the rolling hills of fat ;_____; ! Someone would have to throw the frisbee to get me to be a less overweight dog!
IRL I have this shirt- love it- and wore it the day I came to the conclusion I was an NSDTR! :D I'm pretty glad this breed isn't an overpopular one- only because I would hate to see the dump of them after owners learned how much care, attention and energy burning sports they require :< that, and they aren't you're typical dogs. I watched a video on Youtube from an owner of this breed and it was titled "Why you should not get a NSDTR" and it wasn't because she hated her dog, it was because people assume they're like typical retrievers and they couldn't be more like night and day

I was really surprised! I am, by far, happy to be the breed, but glad I wasn't stupid enough to assume I could handle their level of care :P

nothing wrong with some rolls of fat, really. on ym way to work with public transport I see all kinds of people, and so many of them are skinny girls in skintight leggings I wouldn't dare hugging in any way for I'd break them in two, or even three. :P
those dogs sound like the typical collie, border collie, aussie, and the various sheepherding/protecting breeds from eastern europe: good friends, good pets, but they need to exercise. they need somethign to do.
you know that old series, Lassie? when it was new everybody wanted a rough collie like lassie. then they found out they go insane in tight big city appartments, and they dumped them poor animals... or worse. the same goes with border collies. when people heard they are the most intelligent and adaptable dogs, everybody wanted them. and found out it ain't that easy...
I really wished people would think numerous times before they purchase a new pet.
