Zira was way too prideful to simply lick her wounds and start over again on her own if she was alive. She would have come back in the dead of night and tried to kill Simba all on her own. She was a great character but also a very self destructive one so her fate was fitting.. Also Kovu is sexier

After watching 'Lion Guard', i kinda think Zira is more a victim. I mean, not only did she have her sons crown robbed from her, she also had it taken from a lion who was raised by a pig and cowardly meerkat.... and on top of that, they through her best friend/potential love interest off a cliff into a firey pit full of hyenas. ....and then they tell her to just ''let it go'' like its no big deal.
XD i mean, in fairness, If i was in Zira's place, i'd want vengeance too, haha.
