Louise's body cracked and popped as her spine realigned itself, pushing and locking her on all fours. Her lovely black hair receded into her skull as the changes reached her face, covering it in fur and pushing it out into a feline muzzle with whiskers, sharp teeth and yellow eyes. With her last remaining human voice, Louise told her daughter to run. Then her voice was replaced with feline murring, and Debbie watched in utter disbelief at the female leopard who, until a few seconds ago, had been her mother.
