Debbie knew she should listen to her mother's words, that she should run away. She watched the leopard, seeing no signs of humanity in her eyes or behavior. Her mother was now a full feline. She was beyond help, there was no point in staying with her. But Debbie couldn't run. After 18 years, she couldn't bring herself to leave her mother, whether she had become an animal or not. Debbie's body grew fur as well, puffing up her chest to the point her bikini top snapped. Her hands were reshaping into paws.
