Lunar's Cookies
After being gone for a month and a half, I'm back to share my cookie recipe. It's an old family recipe that was passed down from my Grandmother to my mother and now to me. I remember back in highschool when my mom would make them for me and my brother's friends, they consider Ed her their mom. That's how you know they're good. And since I consider the furry community my family, it only seems fitting I pass it down to you~
INGREDIENTS
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
6oz Chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Mix together shortening, sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Then add eggs, vanilla and coconut extract and mix again.
In separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly add flour mixture to creamy mixture until all blended. Then fold in chocolate chips.
Bake for about 12 minutes or until golden brown in the oven at 350 degrees. This batch makes around 16-32 cookies and you can easily double the recipe.
Thanks for reading and I hope you give this recipe a try~
