I designed Akeem as a tough, restless, work-focused guy who isn't aware of his inner world and emotions. Raised tough by his parents, demanding and strict. This is also why i gave him a skull head. To symbolise his preserved, non-expressive inner world.
Though Marul, exact opposite of him; her language is feelings, excellent at understanding the inner world of her surroundings and relationship dynamics among people. She teaches him to understand his soul and inner world. Helps him maintain a balance between real world and emotions.
And he teaches her stupid ass to how to be organised, practical and use her capacity to fullest.
