So about 500 years ago I drew 
noventawolf a picture of five of his guys chillin' in the bleachers. It had been posted elsewhere at some point, but it was literally my first full attempt at using my new marker set and...it shows. Needless to say I'm not reposting it. Evar.
I thought the timing was right now to update/replace/append to it. You'd think with some foresight I could've done this in conjunction with his bf
unstablebill's earlier gift pic for their thirtieth bdays (as their birthdates are within a three week span), but in my infinite wisdom I chose this year, where NEITHER of them turned thirty. Siiigh. Well, nothing wrong with being early AND late, right?
Anyway, this is designed to be a companion pic to the earlier piece, down to the matching layout and border and shit, only with four different guys (Novie was carried over in the center). Same setup, modern versions of his boys in sufficiently pinupy outfits and poses based around sports--I had a heck of a time picking five NEW distinct poses this time around (that still fit the dimensions). I'm starting to get the hang of coloring more artistically, picking narrower ranges of colors and applying them across the board. I'm not thrilled with the extra-dark blue golf shirt, but I didn't have too many marker options; if not for that, I think I did pretty well in scattering bits of color around considering the characters are mostly in neutrals.
And for what it's worth this is the *edited* version. I drew more clothing separately and then digitally pasted it on. I'm not saying how much, only Novie knows I'm actually rather pleased those results, most of the additions are seamless.

You forgot boxing, beach volleyball, and IIRC a lot of your characters seem to do their workouts and powerlifting at the gym without shirts as well... OH, don't forget what we saw at Muscle Beach! XD

Damnit Vince, I'm sending you my drycleaners bill for this massive nosebleed! xD Awesome renditions, and I must say BOTH pics are awesome. I have that one first image saved on my hard drive, as I always loved the heck out of it. And this one just adds on to the awesomeness. Plus its in markers! I'd never be able to handle traditional media like that! Kudos, dude! ^^

Honestly, I was doing some other art this weekend and I'm starting to figure out the draw of non-traditional media. More color choices, for one @.@ Works here at least, though.

Wow...I must admit this is one wicked piece, V. LOL, sometimes less is more when it comes to color, and this example shows it. Hurhurhur, plus the poses just rock. XD
Hurhurhur, and I can't help but chuckle at all the large feet that's up front. I don't mind, s'just a lil more personality is shown. I dig the back's btw. AND THE FRONTS! XD

I've always liked Noventa's character, and Noventa himself (at least from afar). Now to know he has all these characters, I have to admire him even more. :D
Of course I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that my favs are the lions, but I do have to concur: everything else aside, that hyena just made my jaw drop. I know people IRL can do poses like what he's doing, but my God that is still impressive. O_O
And being no art critic, I can't really comment on the coloring, other than to say that it does look very good and I do agree that the way the bright colors are just splashed a bit here and there around the pic is very eye-catching and seems balanced.

LOL! And hey, lions are big and beefy, they have that gorgeous mane, and as long as they don't let their egos go to their heads they usually have a really sunny, easily lovable disposition.
You seem quite capable of knowing what to do without those classes. But learning more never hurt anybody.

Oh I already know Biff is an asshole, but I've also been told that he gets better, or at least that there are some mitigating circumstances. In any event, he's just one lion. :P

Woo... wow... this is.. just.. beautiful! I love how you colour your characters. It looks so traditional. As in, like, using colour pencils and markers. Those muscles are definitely sexy and I just want to glomp them! That martial arts guy is awesome. I love how he managed to do a perfect split like that. Swim guy is hot..
This looks pretty awesome, Mr. V, but I'm curious as to why they have spare footwear? Other than that I'm as always impressed with your work and think it's great. I really like the top right lion, he just looks so happy and carefree it's funny.

I LOVE IT!!!! Those guys are good-lookin' (not to mention, sexy and HAWT!! <3) I specially like that White Lion with the sapphire speedos; he's fluffy enough to praise him. <3 *snugs the Lion*
The wolf looks really cute too, 'specially showing his little fang. I like him (especially the hyena.)

Aw, they're all smiley! Fun, looks good. Not sure which sport the lion dude in the upper right is supposed to be into-elbow pads? The hyena dude ROCKS! Karate (I assume) practice weraing geta? That'll take some skill. And the pose is fantastic! probably learned that one from Zach, very gymnastic looking. Funess! (Half-naked furry males, what's not to like? Now if you did a piece were they're wearing t-shirts but no sweats or shorts...Yes, I'm obsessed with buns. )

This is an idealized view of a gym.
In the real world, you'd find maybe one person who has not neglected his/her physical fitness and is a gym rat, with six-pack muscles or if a woman, the curves to prove it. The rest are a whole bunch of lardasses who have neglected their bodies and are desperately searching for a way to get back into their high school/college/wedding clothes.
