I'll preface this one with an apology: I've been meaning to upload this one for a long time. I just haven't... not because I didn't want to, but because I didn't want it to get buried.
Anyway.
I'm proud of getting this one -- proud that it was something I was able to get drawn. It might not really immediately mean much to many people besides something cute but this is a big cornerstone for my 'sona's lore and more-specifically the relationship and connection between him and his curse. This is something that I wanted to get visualised for a long time, so I'm glad I was finally able to do so.
Understandably, people generally associate curses, hexes, plagues etc. as bad things -- evil; malign. I mean, it's fair. Arix is a curse. She *is* evil -- but then this furthers this scene and the connection between the two characters. Being cursed means that Shay is forever Arix' bearer -- that she's with him forever. Whilst it's something that at first she was heavily resistant to she gradually changed her opinion of Shay, which leads to this:
Despite being evil, Arix has chosen to side with Shay and accept her position with him -- rather than resist it, she decided to help him instead -- so this is an example of that. If they're stuck together, then they might as well make the most of it, right? And if Shay is the bearer of a large amount of power, the least that should be done is to make sure he can use it properly.
Who else to teach you but the person technically responsible for the magic you wield? So here we are -- a scene of Arix teaching Shay how to use magic, something which without her he wasn't really able to do. As you can see ...... there's a long way to go.
Sorry for the essay, but yeah. This scene means a lot to me. A lot. To me it's perfect. It's cute; it's detailed. You can see a subtle little sight of the sort of world they inhabit through the window and the furniture of the room. It shows personality and connection. I don't think there's really anything about this that could be done any differently.

JakeTheHare , a most amazing artist. Yes, the irony isn't lost on me that I commission a porn artist for non-porn stuff. I just like their art that much. Sue me.
Anyway.
