I bought two tree frogs recently. One died yesterday but here's a photo of the remaining one. This little fellow is a glutton and a goofball. He's funny to watch at dinner time.

hehe they're fairly inexpensive as far as amphibians go :3 All you need to house one is a 10 gal tank, organic soil for the substrate, plants (living or fake or both), a water bowl it can rest in and a heating pad (mainly if you live somewhere that gets cold). They don't need a light unless you really want one (or live where it snows in winter). I use a desk lamp to help warm him up on cool nights.
His food only costs $2 or less a week. He eats either 5-6 small cricks or one full grown crick nightly. I gotta dust his food with vita powder twice a week, change his water bowl daily and mist the cage with nontap water twice a day but that basically sums up his care. The only down side is I can't hold him unless absolutely necessary due to the oils on human skin and the stress it causes the animals on top of that. He's great though and quiet since it's not mating season. He only cost me $7 himself.
I want to get a dumpy tree frog and a pacman frog maybe for my birthday but I would love to get a red eyed tree frog eventually.
