Zeydaan going from dimension to dimension from the comfort of their own room while staying with their friend, finding a strange broken mirror in a dimly lit region filled with dark magic- Dark Magic seeking a new conduit into the physical world. The fused shadows returning from dust and clinging to the Fey-wolf's head. Seeking to change them into a form more fitting for the ancient magic, why not go for a classic?
Zeydaan shrinks down with the magic flowing into them, transforming them into a full on Twili Imp- or rather, Midna.
Though, then comes the other issue of their friend back in their own dimension. Midna would need to protect the mirror that brought her into this world after all... And maybe gain a new mount.
