Sauron has a good powerset for overpowering superpowered beings. For example, if it weren't for Wolverine's claws an encounter between them might end with Sauron coughing up a perfectly cleaned adamantium skeleton. 83

I had forgotten about him until I was reminded of an old comic book panel of him menacing Storm. There are LOT of comic characters, some just fall through the cracks.

I can imagine Sauron, devouring mutants based on how much energy they have as well. Humans energy would be like Refreshing like Spring Water. Vs mutants would be like a fine wine or brandy.

If hes smart and evil
He would spit out any regenerating hero before its completely digested

Its quite cruel to painfully digest one over and over

+ its a infinite food source if one can regurgitate them in time
If not well theres always more regenerating heros besides wolverine

I've had a couple of characters stuck in that situation, one who is mentioned in a story or two and one from a story that never got written. Regenerating prey czn make an endless food source if the level of regeneration matches the digestion speed closely enough.

What story would this be, it's not ringing any bells for me? I have always wanted to see a well-done story with a regenerating prey. Something like Ria swallowing a big werewolf (though I know her acids are too strong sadly). Such an evil concept but boy but I love it. Lol

One is the backstory of the Lord Maker, who implanted a regeneration artifact in himself and was then swallowed by a small red dragon a. Another is a never written story in my old sabertooth tiger setting with an immortal human wizard stuck inside a series of tigers.
