Might as well give some back info on Marin for once, just to satisfy some peoples curiosity and imagination. :3

Marin is the step-sister of Marik, their similarity in name not being at all a coincidence. Their parents knew each other and they were born on the same day, in the same hospital and within a few hours of each other. Their parents had known each other since grade school and when finding out their children would be born around the same time decided to name them similarly.

Marik did not know his real father, having abandoned his mother shortly after she knew she was pregnant. Marin, on the other hand, grew up without knowing her mother, whom had died from complications a few days after giving birth to her.

Marik's mother and Marin's father helped each other out with their newborn children, eventually falling in love. Even since birth the two had been together and even though they aren't blood related their bonds are just as strong as any brother and sister.
