“-bad enough that you show up exhausted from marathons and barely sleeping, then you flake out and don’t even give an alert when you can’t make it, ignoring phone calls and texts and not even answering the door? Well this is your final warning, Lucas, get your ass in overalls over here ASAP and under a motor until your hours are up or you can kiss this gig goodbye!”

Luc’s ears twitched at the recorded message. Kyle was a passionate guy, but it was quite a tirade even by his standards. And not one she’d miss.

Toni had been one thing, but the mere thought of how loud Kyle’s reaction to her huge lupine form made her ears flatten and heart quicken. That might be fun, but it was best to focus on an alternative before she made anything formal. Fortunately, she was, little by little, getting better at handling her amazonian body.

It wasn’t easy. She had to turn and twist through doorways, and had managed to remove a few pieces of drywall in early evenings when she was still waking up and just walking through without thinking. Her clothes were tight and small, though Toni had promised to scrounge together something better, and her big paws struggled with phone and laptop.

But, over a couple of nights, she had levelled up to level three with a bit more flight practice, and set about searching for a new position, fitting her unique… position, to get cash together. It was hard- she couldn’t post a picture of herself, and any job that really went into background checks like a big company would probably find issue with discovering she was both a vampire and a werewolf. But there were a few night jobs that might handle a big strong nocturnal wolf-girl, and she might as well apply to them.

It wasn’t long before she got a response for an interview for a position as:

A. Labourer at a warehouse

B. A Bartender in a night club

C. Security for a mysterious client.

D. Delivery girl at a 24/7 take away place.
