Ojects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear Step-By-Step
A step-by-step of how I do art these days. If anyone is curious.

1. Start out with a very loose, initial sketch to get "the lay of the land".
2. Roughly flesh the sketch out. After this stage, I send the sketch to the commissioner to get approval to continue.
3. Flip the sketch and go over it in more details (flipping allows you to spot anatomical mistakes).
4. Lineart the sucker.
5. Lay down the flats (I generally use one layer for the flats if the design is already given).
6. Draw in the shadows.
7. Decided I wanted the shadows darker and I blurred them a bit.
8. Added some highlights (using yellow because I used purple to shade).
9. Colored the irises and added white highlights.
10. Threw a background together.
11. Final product.

Sheesh, I thought you might have found some secret to PhotoShop or something, because those lines are so incredbly smooooth. <33 And yes, I think if that little option didn't exist, artists everywhere would just not have a very easy life *finds self wishing pencils had undo buttons*.
