Scanned by my crappy scanner.
The only reason this even exists is because even something from someone with no artistic skill is better than nothing when commissioning. Particularly since not a lot of people know what a pika is. (Google it - we're cute little squeakers.)
This was done back in February, before FWA 2010, my first convention, wherein I commissioned quite a few badges. So some of the details about Taz listed on this sheet should probably be clarified here:
Taz, while for all practical purposes entirely a pika, is also part shapeshifter by blood from some ancestor a few generations back. The shapeshifter genetics have manifested themselves in two ways: the more obvious ability to change between tails, and the more subtle change in the color of the eyes.
Taz can have his tail adopt the form of most every living thing, and can use each form as if he had lived with it his entire life. The actual shape-changing process is more of a "phasing" effect than a "morphing" one - that is to say, the previous tail fades out of being as the next tail fades in.
The eyes' iris color, as some strange side-effect of the shapeshifter genetics, change color in accordance with the current color of the sky. This means that most of his waking time on Earth, Taz has light-blue eyes. At sunset, however, for example, they turn yellow-orange, and at nighttime they turn black, complete with stars.
As far as the more normal furry descriptions go, extremities are halfway between human hands and feet and animal paws. Legs are digitigrade. Fur color is a light-tan/goldenrod color.
As far as more mundane things, he adopts my taste in clothing, his favorite color of shirt (and favorite color in general) being yellow, accompanied with a light-blue cap. Taz does not wear glasses, contrary to myself - I was on the fence on whether or not to include those, but glasses and little pika ears are slightly awkward to work together, so I eventually decided to just drop it.
And there you have it. A crappy drawing and description of my furry self. By me. Not worth throwing anywhere but my scraps. Ho-hum.
