I don't think i ever end up numbering my paintings and now you get two #2s after another.
Played around with simplification again and tried to basically have just two layers of textures for the whole paintings. The base being one and then just enough darker highlights to show what's needed. Not sure if it ended up being super successful as a painting on it's own but eh. Eh, i say!
Tat's what the patreon funded free drawing time is for! Experimentation and stuff i couldn't do usually.

I've done exactly this by accident when exploring around Florida swamps. This is a nice late afternoonish looking representation. Part of me wants to see a touch more distinction between browns (wood and fallen/rotting vegetation) and greens (especially sunlit highlights), but that could just be the swamplands I'm used to.
