Thanks! Ah, forgot to give credit here - It's actually a stock photograph I found on dA. Here, "City_Setting_2_by_Aconyte_Stock", that's what the file is called. I'm afraid I don't know where the photograph was taken, but you could check out the photographer's account, if you'd really like to find out.
The French version is already out, we are just waiting for someone to translate it and publish it in English. I've read the 3rd one online, I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'd find it.
It is a very interesting piece of art/literature for furry or non-furries. It certainly has good aesthetic standards, design and storyline.
I heard rumours that some company is going to publish it in hard cover, all three volumes.

Great job.
Though just to give you a personal thought: I wanted to see more of a sadder expression from John and more grays in the picture. Even though it would make it less visually pleasing for the general public, for individuals who really loves detective noir, pathetic-fallacy is one of the sexiest things in the world.

Thanks! For better or worse I'm always tending more towards realism with my colouring/ painting - I'm not really good at more stylized work, unlike many artists around here - But I guess it makes it easier for me to blend these stock photographs with the painted elements.
I knew it everytime you post our collab, because I always got more than 20 watches!
Well about this raining theme I came up with, I need to changed from getting drunk in the bar since you read my mind on that idea.
So I decide to go with the rain to challenge your skills but it seems that this is just a piece of cake for you after at all :D
You are a man with talent and heart, my old man! Thank you thank you thank you for doing a collab with me again :hugs:

Looking at how beautiful this picture is, it would be so unjust to not leave a comment on both of your submissions. =O
It wasn't hard to tell that you were the color culprit (not in the negative sense, of course) and Defago was the line artist. Both of you have rather distinct ways of doing what you do, after all. ^^
Your shading is very lovely, Das; a lot of emotion is portrayed between the realms of light and dark. That said, both of their suits look very well colored, especially in the areas where they begin to define their body types--and the ties?--beautiful gloss you put on them, my friend. =D

You're welcome. ^^
As for being a fan, sadly, I'm not even aware of what "Blacksad" is--well, aside from it being a comic anyway. I don't know what it's about. x3
Perhaps I should do some research; I've seen this particular cat character around FA and he looks rather interesting. =D

I've drawn Weekly a few times by this point, but I think the only one I've got posted up is the one for that goofy Favorite Characters meme... I know fabercastel's another fan, and he's posted a couple of pics (albeit porny ones).
Maybe I'll do something Blacksad-y this weekend (watch mine turn out porny too 9_9)
This really is why furries can't have nice things.

Hyperactive libido?
Reminds me that I have an unfinished erotic painting of Smirnov flying about, myself. Haven't really been in the mood to work on furry pr0n much, the last few months or so.
Anyhow, I'd appreciate some new Blacksad art, or any new art of yours, for that matter.

Dude, more Smirnov means everybody wins <3
But yeah, I totally hear you on not having been in a mood to crank out porn recently. I haven't had much time to paint at all lately, and the stuff I have done has been all serious and moody...
I guess that means we're due for some silly erotic fluff <3
