Jenny 'Feratu's backstory (feat. Johnny Drac), muscle bat
Here's the backstory for my vampire bat superheroine Jenny 'Feratu, taking place mostly from the 1950s to the 1970s, also featuring a bit of the origin for her cousin and rival, Johnny Drac.
I sure am doing these stories in a weird order. You'd think I'd start with the central characters like Remi, Dobes or Identity. Instead I'm doing all the supporting cast. I just kind of do them as they come to me. Also, I frequently listen to review shows on YouTube while I draw and I wonder if that's influenced me to produce more synopses like this instead of full stories.
Molecule Mink was created for this story. I looked up natural enemies for bats and just wanted to make a very cheesy-sounding science-based 1950s superhero.

Thanks! :) I'm glad you saw it. I was thinking of how you mentioned Johnny's greaser look would come back in style in the 70s.
After Johnny was defeated, their vampirism wore off and they returned to normal. Some were heroes and some were villains. Some of them may have decided to lay low after Jenny disappeared. Some of them might have also been captured by the Paranormal Division as Jenny was.
The only one of the New York supers besides Race Horse who is an actual character at this point is Fencedancer the cat, who was originally from an earlier version of the main team (she was Jackson Press' love interest when he was a main character.) I imagine she continued to be active in superheroing until she retired and may be some kind of a mentor figure along the lines of Red.
