Crossfolf Collage: Rood's Head Park, Lockeport, N.S.
Welcome to Rood's Head Park in scenic Lockeport, Nova Scotia, where no one is ever rood! ;)
Named after the local shipbuilder Henry Jacob Rood (1823-1898), Rood's Head is also named for the way we call a piece of land that gently extends beyond the shoreline a "head". A longer, sharper extension is called a "point".
Local legend holds that Henry Jacob Rood was buried here somewhere, but to date, Rood's Head (or any of his remains) has never been found...*creepy campfire music*
A Crossfolf Camera Presentation. :)
