When i commissioned for this piece i was very excited. I asked Jake if he could closely reference a great scene from Steven Universe. A scene when Greg (Steven's dad) was trying to fuse with Rose Quartz (Steven's mom) in their early days of the relationship they had. I thought it was beautiful because it showed that even though they couldn’t fuse like normal gems could, he still made that connection with Rose work.
Steven Universe has always been my favorite show and it will always be. Jake really did an amazing job closely referencing the scene. ^-^
