“Who are you?” Aedith suddenly asked. She looked up at me with a bright smile and curious tilt to her head. Obviously she had been paying attention.
“Who am I?” I asked in mock indignation. "Why, I'm . . . " I paused for a moment. "I’m . . . nobody in particular."
"Yes, you are!" Sunny protested. "You're my MOMMY!"
I got a little misty eyed at this, and Ooo-er chirped a laugh through her tears. I swung my daughter up into my arms again and walked up the hill to the Gate.
