The claws on this guy are nuts- you have to be super careful turning the pelt inside out because they’ll catch and put holes in the leather. Fishers are expert tree climbers with those claws.

Lynx are like this too. People have been known to put corks or erasers on the ends of their claws just to be able to tan and tumble them without shredding themselves and every other pelt around them, in the process, LOL. Apparently it's super hard to find full lynx pelts for this reason.
I didn't know you could say the same for fisher, though! I had no clue their claws were about the same sharpness!
