This is a little bit of a rant art that I did after I went to my job's party...
I don't like parties... I understand why they're fun, but they're not for me. Loud music, lots of people that I don't know, having to make small talk with people I'm not really interested in knowing... people drinking too much while I'm there with my glass of water, knowing that I'll be taking the wheel as soon as I can... yeah, all of that really pushes me away from those kind of events. I'm more of a calm event person. Small group of friends or family and we chat and have fun! I don't need more than that.
I'm an introverted person, so parties drain me waaaay too fast. Honestly I could skip it entirely even if the food's delicious. I'd be happier knowing that they're having their fun without having to worry that I'll be there NOT having fun and just waiting for the first opportunity to go back home. I swear, after that job party I was tired all week long. At the end of that party the music was so loud I could feel my body shake! I did NOT feel well at all. Had to go and leave fast. I did not feel like I rested during the weekend! It was painful...
Besides, they're nice people, but... well it's hard to say we share the same interests, and so I'm more inclined to walk away instead of faking interest. I don't like to pretend. That's why I'm more of an internet person. I can meet people who share the same interests and it's easier to get to talk!
Anyway, that's all I have to say... if people don't want to go to parties, don't force them. They have their reason. So go have fun, but do it without me. I'll stay home with my video games and drawings instead (and my cats). Then I'll be happy to see you again when things are calm! ^^
Thanks for reading if you did, now enjoy seeing Ewan completely drained of his own party to which he probably didn't want to go to!
