LITERALLY a five minute sketch.

This is Vida Hinsey, the heroine of a soft murder mystery I'm writing in my spare time. :) I just started tonight, but I cranked out a TON of ideas, and when I got tired of writing and had reached my quota I decided I'd give a crack at drawing what I thought Vida would look like. I didn't even have a species in mind -- she just came out. I think she fits pretty well with the way I wrote her in the synopsis.

In the story, a shot girl—a waitress of sorts, who goes around with overpriced jell-o shots and sells them to horny, drunk men in bars and nightclubs—runs into Julia, an old high school friend, while making her rounds at work. Julia tells Vida that she's getting married, but something seems off. Julia is a sexy, platinum blonde arctic vixen and the perfect trophy wife, but she doesn't seem that happy with her lot in life.

When Vida wakes up the next morning, the story on the front page of the newspaper shocks her: at 4 AM, Julia's fiancé found her dead in her penthouse apartment of an apparent suicide. Sensing that something doesn't add up, the college student takes it upon herself to solve the mystery behind her old classmate's untimely demise.

This story is going to be a fairly brief read -- 50k to 80k words if I can manage it, and will be rife with intrigue and erotica. >;3 I'm giving myself a month.
