The Land Before Time was one of the movies that left a huge mark on me as a kid as well. It doesn't matter that it ends on a happy note, it still leaves you with a feeling that you just can't get over.
Watching it last weekend was somewhat of a mistake. Hell, I'm sure if I didn't do this piece and got it out of my system I still would have had the soundtrack playing in my head.

In the original Land Before Time ending the writers were going to kill the cast of characters (Little foot and friends) in the first movie. When they died, they would have gone to "heaven" which was The Great Valley. However, they decided to let them live and create many musical sequels.
You know, that scene really makes you feel sorry for Littlefoot. However, I disagree about four specific sequels. Apart from 'The Land Before Time', I also like the movies: 'The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock', 'The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration', 'The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of The Flyers', and 'The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends'.
The 6th one is because I like the character Doc, the 10th one because I have two favourite characters: Sue, and Littlefoot's father, Bron, the 12th one because I have another two favourite characters: Petrie's mother, and Guido, the Microraptor who ended up being a great help for Petrie, and the 13th one for two reasons: 1 - because 13 is my favourite number, and 2 - because I have three favourite characters: Loofah, Doofah and Foobie, the Beipiaosaurus', or as Littlefoot and his friends call them - 'Yellow Bellies'. :)
