‘Get,... off,… of,.. me,… you hissing sand puddle,…’
“So quicksand is already a problem for me,… but these things make it even worse,…
Another variety of Muck Beast known as ‘Sand Snakes’, serpents of living quicksand, much like the Mud Gators. They dwell here and there in pools of quicksand, waiting for someone to wander in and get stuck, at which point the snake rises, coiling up around them to keep them from escaping as they drag them down into the quicksand. Like I said, they make a bad thing even worse,… lucky me,…
They aren’t as tough as the gators, the ‘fangs’ and hissing are just for show, to scare their prey as they sink deeper in, but they are a lot harder to spot, lying dormant until you are already in their quicksand pool, and then they strike. Fortunately, they won’t leave their pools, so if you can get loose and pull yourself out, they won’t pursue, though they will sit there and hiss angrily at you as they settle back down into the sands.
They are scattered all across the island, but they are few and far between, as I’ve only ever encountered a small number of them, and there is only ever one in a quicksand pool. One thing I have noticed is that they only seem to be in the pools of really sandy quicksand, rather than the muddier varieties, and that those pools are usually in shady places, rather than where sunlight hits the pool directly. Of course, quicksand pools in shady spots are on their own hard to spot, so that’s not really helpful in trying to avoid Sand Snakes.
Uhn,… okay,… this guy is really getting on my nerves,… give me a couple minutes here,…”
From the impressive
toughset comes yet another menacing trouble for Ember, the treacherous Sand Snake,… if already being stuck in quicksand wasn’t troublesome enough, now it can get even more difficult. ;).
What a wonderfully tense and fierce picture, with a great feeling of the struggling and fighting between the two. The Sand Snake looks great, I love the goopy look it has, especially with bits splashing off here and there as it coils up around Ember, as squishy as it looks it certainly seems to have a firm grip around her, and the hissing mouth, fangs and tongue bared, really adds to the threatening feel of this sandy serpent. Ember looks quite annoyed, to say the least, with her furrowed brows and gritted, and of course how she grabs the snake by the neck, hard enough to cause a splash from the squishy creature. Her posing is great and I love her smooth, soft-looking hair bunched up on the surface behind her, but what I really love is how her body seems to respond to the snake, you can see her thighs squeezed in abit from the coil across them, her torso twisting around as she grabs the snake, but one arm is pinned, and her chest smooshing out from between two coils, all the while as her thighs sink down into the quicksand. Another truly astonishing image bringing to life another sinister danger to Ember and Nightshade Island.
What do you think? :D.

Tar is related to oil, it's a thick and very sticky black goo, that forms in deep bubbly pits, and tends to trap things like dinosaurs and cavewomen. ;)

Yikes, at this point it’s obvious Ember has to deal with a lot of stuff since she has to deal with quicksand, villains if I remember correctly as well as Mud Gator’s and now sand snakes as well, something tells me that this stuff causes her quite a bit of stress since she deals with it a lot also the picture is amazing since well what can I say it’s just amazing really and was definitely well made so yea.
Okay also yea, it is definitely no doubt stressful for her but Atleast she manages plus she likely has some friends she can visit hopefully without trouble sometimes Atleast also sigh, I can only imagine what would happen if their were more mythical animal things but yet again tho who knows, maybe the mud gator’s and sand snakes are the only but it’s still obvious that their annoying if their the only 2 there oh well I guess idk also yea it is definitely great artwork also one thing that’s for sure, Ember is a awesome oc of yours since well yea, they we’re definitely a well made and thought out oc sorry if that was weird.
No doubt very stressful for her, and she does have friends she can and does visit, like Hula Girl and Lucia, and no doubt there are other mythical creatures on the island beyond simply these two. And it is a great piece of art and thank you, I'm glad you like Ember. :)
Okay also it definitely makes sense that it’s stressful but it seems like she’s adapted to this and is sort of or is use to it and sigh it is good that she has friends she can visit and all but i don’t think she likes it as much when she runs into more quicksand on their island and just to say that might be a reference to the jungle tour series thing and sorry about the reference, I couldn’t really help it since I mean why not also yea, what can I say really, Ember is a seriously amazing you got and all plus what can I say, she’s also very interesting due to the island guardian stuff plus the villains and mythical creatures she has to deal with so yea, she’s just a plain awesome oc you got :3.
Okay also yea plus hey why wouldn’t I think their great? You did awesome on making them and definitely thought them out well also it’s good that Ember is used to it, well technically idk if it is good but it might be since it means that she knows how to get out easily if it’s quicksand and she likely knows how to deal with villains as long as they don’t do a surprise attack.
As if the Mud Gators weren't bad enough. Now Ember has sand snakes to deal with :D. Though it really does show that danger lurks at every corner of Nightshade Island, especially when they blend in with the environment to this degree ;). Really great work by Toughset nonetheless :). To see Ember's struggle here, really shows how tricky those sand snakes can be ;). Though something tells me it's not over just yet :D
Indeed, just gets worse and worse, but you are right, this definitely helps show how dangerous Nightshade Island can be, especially with hidden dangers like this. Indeed, great work from Toughset, really shows Ember and the peril of the snake very well. Oh, indeed, it's not over yet. ;)
