Art Summary 2021
And here it is. I revamped my old file to something more fancy and fitting.
This year was... well, it was what it was. It is not worth looking back into the past to remember negative deeds, even when it is difficult to do so. Neither is it productive to hope for a future that will never come either. Living momentarily is all that matters - and we have to try to make the best out of the worst, even if the situation seems hopeless. And that's what it is, it merely seems hopeless... but is it really? There are always roads around the shards in your way, no matter how large or sharp these shards may seem. What has happened cannot be changed, unless you are a master of time of course.
I can't say my year's been bad, neither was it 100% peanut butter and jelly. School's been a major stress factor in every possible way and also a huge time killer for things I would've loved to do but couldn't. What is there to do but to accept it and focus on more important things, which is creating a way for a potential and also positive future. My only goal right now is to move away from here with my boyfriend and get a proper apprenticeship in the south. That's pretty much our plan for the next year. Earn some money and well, live.
Project wise... I haven't planned much except for pushing my art skill (as I do every year) and working on smaller things with Blender or crafting something. I may start working on character cosplay masks just for the sake of it-, but that is written in the stars when I'll do that.
Now that I have the perfect rig for Blender, I'll try to push those skills further as well, especially because my dream job as a product designer is majorly focused on CAD.
Anyway, all artworks can be found in my gallery. But why did I add the "artwork of the year" feature? Because I found that whenever I made these summaries, one or two drawings I really loved never got to see the daylight in this.
I chose the "Curiosity" one as the artwork of the year because firstly, it got plenty of attention. But that's not the main reason I chose this, other drawings got a wee bit more attention than this one. I simply loved and enjoyed working on this, a lot. And I still love it to this day and look at it almost twice a week. It's one of those "did I really create that?" positive moments. The posture, atmosphere, location of objects-, everything just feels perfect to my eyes... and I rarely say that about my art because I am very self-criticizing. xD
Hope you have a nice Christmas!
