One last drawing to make before we are to leave for the holiday, it's a fellow reminiscing about a nice lady to spend with for Christmas instead of sitting in a voshole in the middle of winter awaiting Communard troops. It was inspired by artwork of someone's character in sexy Christmas-themed lingerie, because that's the way my brain works: ether I would make straight up make just a regular sexy pinup or spin off into an idea like this, of a lonely male fantasizing about beautiful females (drawing what I know, I guess). A lone member of the US 32nd Airborne Division is thinking of a beautiful Plateosaurus lass in a Santa-themed dress, as a way of keeping himself warm amidst the cold of the Belgian forest. He is one of a number of paratroopers (three regiments' worth, to be exact) defending the town of Marche-en-Famenne against the 4th Regiment Chasseurs d'Afrique, two Demi-Brigades of the Levee Populaire (the 8th and 11th), the 9th Batallion Chasseurs Alpins, several battalions of Legion Noire, and troops of the 15th Armored Division; despite overwhelming odds and little in the way of supplies (even warm clothes were lacking), the defenders held their ground against the attacks for an entire week before they were relieved by the Confederate 4th Armored Division on December 26, 1944.

On a side note, the fellow in the drawing was originally supposed to be Calvin Barnes, a character from a previous drawing, only I realized Barnes was in a completely different airborne division that wouldn't have been on the frontlines in the Ardennes. Oops!
