The inspiration for this came from the ridiculous weather we've been getting this December. While I don't necessarily wish for snow, I do wish it was a bit colder. Mid 80s projected for Christmas is nuts to me. That being said, I need to be open and blunt for a minute. This year has not been kind to me. At all. I thought 2020 was bad, but it turns out it was a cakewalk compared to this year. I'm not going to go into detail about why, but the reason I'm bringing this up is because last month for a time, I actually considered not doing a picture this year. I was not in a good place mentally and incredibly stressed. When I debated with myself, I came to the conclusion that if I didn't do it, I would be breaking my own promise that I'd put one out every year as long as I was able, and I didn't want that to be this year. In addition, I also concluded that this would be good for me to not only express my creativity (which I sorely don't do enough admittedly), but to remind myself why I do this every year. It's for everyone and as long as this brings a smile to your faces, it makes me feel better knowing that the time and effort was worthwhile. Stay safe this season.
