It wasn't until I was finishing this picture up that I was reminded of this image I made back in 2016. Both images even required the use of the same snowflake brush. I never really use it outside of snowflakes that are in the foreground anymore, so it's mildly amusing to see that old image where I hadn't made that artistic decision yet. While I feel like many aspects of my art have improved, I feel like my ability to make "painterly" pics is severely limited and that's probably in large part due to the fact that I don't often make these sorts of pictures. I need to practice and play around with technique more and find out what I like both look-wise and workflow-wise. Also speed-wise. I could have spent more time on this to make it look better, but I didn't want to devote that kind of time to it, especially when I'm not 100% certain I have sussed out all possible shortcuts and techniques. Work smart, not hard and all that
