From the black puddle of ink, bubbles started to rise to the surface, until a black, shiny bump started to emerge, growing taller, until it was big enough to make out; a black, canine-shaped mass, standing, and 2 gooey strands that seems to shackle his wrists and keep him constrained inside the ink pool, as he continued to try and resist, pulling back in whenever force he exerted to try and break free, unable to mouth out anything coherent.
