Tonights TV viewing as it rains outdoors;
The Star Wars Holiday Special.
I last saw this in 1978.
I had memories of it and thought I'd mixed it up with other memories. Now that I've slogged through the entirety of it appears those memories appear to be pretty accurate. YIPES it is bad.
Next was the much more competent 'Santa Claus versus the Martians'. This is FAR far more watchable which is astounding.
The final production for tonight will be the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol.

The commercials during the breaks were a bit more fun than the movie was.
I remember being all excited for this when I was a young Lox, then the big moment came and I was soooo disappointed...
The 1938 version of A Christmas Carol is my favorite of all the versions available. It's the sort of Christmas I would love to have and I love the little speech Fred gives to Scrooge.
