Edit: April 2011: moved to scraps in my Spring Gallery Clean
Zeph had been so excited when Milly had told him he was free to train, teach and ride any of her horses in dressage. It was his specialty and had done it since he was a kid. When Rah'Edan Stables got their second Harlequin, one named Smoke Jumper, he was excited to read her papers and find that she had some dressage skill. He smiled and fondly dubbed her 'Rookie' as he cared for her and helped her settle into her new home.
It was many weeks later when he decided to tack up and give Rookie a go. It had been rough at first, getting used to her arabic gait and spasmatic temperment. He could tell she was frustrated still with being in a new place, but also that she was happy to do something familiar again. Zepharo smiled, on one occasion of these rides, when they finally completed a full run to some random classical music in the player, without a hitch. It didn't take him long to let Milly know of their progress. She insisted that he do it again with full gear and dress, minus the hat as he didn't have one that fit over his dreadlocked hair. She leaned over the wall at the grand arena and watched Zepharo and the new mare do a routine. When they finished, with a grand bow on Rookies part, Milly clapped and declared that he was to enter in OHS's Summer Festival.
He was sceptical at first, there was still some technic, and posture on his part, that needed to be tuned up before the event itself, but after a little ego boosting from Addyson and Milly he soon agreed and wrote a letter to declare his entry in the Dressage Competition... Now he needed to find a hat....

lol It's a harlequin breed. its actually a registered type of horse from the baroque era. they were very rare and always three colors (red, black, white) but all born sterile so they didn't last long XD you get one like every hundred years or so now depending on how mix-bred a horse is ^_^ XD I just love the color combo so I've been doodling them alot o.0
