"Almost ready?" Dan shouted down the hall.
"Just a couple more minutes!" a muffled shout replied from behind the bathroom door.
"Now are those mom minutes, or the regular kind?"
"Keep asking and they'll become mom minutes, Alex!"
"Geez, so testy," Alex chuckled.
"Well, beauty takes time," Dan joined in. "She doesn't just roll out of bed like that first thing!"
A few minutes later, as promised, the bathroom door opened and the beagle stepped out. Proving Dan's observation correct, the beagle was stunning. Her hair bounced off her shoulders in perfect curls. Her dress shimmered and hugged her curves.
"Well, shall we?"
