As a night foxxo, Myles is swayed by the tides of the ocean and the moon’s rotation. But what drives the moon if not for the brilliant rays of the burning star we call our sun? The Sun provides us with the gift of life from Mother Earth. The moon provides us with restoration of renewed energy to conquer the challenges of today. Eclipses of both entities cause us to remember the influence that each of them holds.

Though it may seem that this portrait is menacing and casts somewhat of a threat to his audience, I like to imagine that he warns us of the danger that comes from ignoring the gifts that the Sun and the Moon brings the Earth. We can’t exist without the other, and with this warning, Myles demands that we give respect to them.

I absolutely LOVE the shading and coloring that Lucan chose for Myles here. The style that he uses is dark in contrast and reminds me of images that would be used in folklore stories. Thank you Lucan for your work!
