Here they are - the totals of the year.
Honestly, I thought that I drew my first two artworks two years ago, but it hasn't been that long.
I've talked before about how my technique has changed with the introduction of the iPad, and with it my style. I didn't quite like it. But now, looking at the big picture, I can compare my old work and my latest. Frankly, I'm disappointed in myself. I get the feeling that not only have I not been able to improve my drawing skills, but that I've even slipped.
When I look at the works of December and February I remember how long it took me to paint them, getting every crack in them, but that's what makes them look so impressive.
The most recent works don't have that. They're not detailed, they're blurry and they don't have the essence I wanted them to have, the maximum they can offer is atmosphere, but even that's not as strong.
I don't know if it's because I'm drawing on my ipad or something, but I really want to get back to my old style.
I'll do my best in year 22, but in the meantime this is a somewhat sad summary
