When I was making the entire drawing I made an earlier pass at the way the bloons covered their heads, halfway through though I changed it to be more simplistic and removed the mouth contours. But I kept this original and finished it considering there's things to like about both.

Hmm... zonked expression versus faceless... a tough choice...
I'm going to give the edge to faceless on this one, as zonked is best when you have eyes to go along with it, like spirals, or the "hollow" pupils, if you follow me. If you had the eyes show through, though, it would diminish the effect of the monkeys being robbed of their personalities.
Why yes I *do* put too much thought into these things! XD
Addendum: It might be worth showing the monkey's being zonked out by the hypno bloons before they're taken over, as a sequence. That way you get the best of both worlds. (jus' sayin').
