Took another break from my usual Breyer and Hartland customs to fix this little guy up! I bought this 1 3/4" tall ceramic quail from the Goodwill outlet some years ago, and recently dug him out of a bag where he'd been hiding. His beak and tail were both broken when I got him, so he's had new ones sculpted. And his boring old plain brown paint job has been replaced with the brighter plumage of a male bobwhite, with glossed eyes, beak and mouth. Definitely a one of a kind piece! He's shown with a traditional (1:9) scale Breyer horse in the last pic.
