Deep within the moonlit forest, the two dragon mates sat together, watching as the moonlight shimmered in the lake before them. The soft sound of the water against the shore, the crickets chirping in the bushes, the owls hooting in the distance, and the soft breeze flowing through the trees gave the air around them a calm, serene feeling. Solis watched over his mate as she lay curled up beneath his wing, and as sleepiness slowly took hold of him as well, he rested his head atop hers and slowly drifted off into sleep as well. The world may be in chaos, but right at this very moment was nothing but peace. And as the day came to a close, he could only think on how, despite all the chaos that had come around them, they still had each other. And they could still make it through whatever else came their way.
This was a hatchday gift I got for my mate 
valiamoonseer with us both sharing a rather tender moment by a moonlit lake. I really love how calm and serene it feels, and I feel it's a rather special scene for us both to be sharing together~
