Well, I think it shows that her stomach and belly is already very full at that point. Lions at all have very short hair an beeing very muskular so veins are visible easyly when they are pretty full or pregnant. I remember a picture of a preg. lioness where such a vein was clearly visible and now I add such details to make the fullness of my fattys more visible ...
