ALS OC 2021 “WALK AND ROLL” CHARITY EVENT - 11/13/21
This was my third year participating in the ALS Association Orange County (CA) Annual “Walk To End ALS” Event in Irvine, CA. Unfortunately, due to the continuing COVID-19 Health Crisis, the full walk was scaled back to a Drive-Thru style event, where attendees stayed in their vehicles while being entertained and tent stations provided swag and bagged lunches. We were a mighty group of 11 Furries, honoring one of our own Tony “Dogbomb” Barrett who was well known in our local Furry community. He was diagnosed with ALS in Spring, 2018 and passed away from this horrible disease in April, 2019. I’ve been involved with ALSOCA since I got my fursuit in May, 2019. Our group TEAM TONY fundraised over $5600 in 2021 (During a Pandemic, too!!) and we were able to participate safely by supporting this amazing organization that helps those in our local Orange County communities who are suffering from this disease (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) while honoring Dogbomb’s legacy
