Personality: A competitive show off, Parisa often feels a need to be the center of attention. While she does try to be genuinely nice, she can often come off as stuck up and snobbish to others. She obsesses about appearance and status, doing anything she can to better herself. Despite her faults, at her core she is just an insecure young lady working hard to make a better life for herself.
History: Parisa did not have a good early life. She was an offspring of a young noble woman who had a scandalous affair with a vagabond which resulted in both of them being disowned from their family. She never knew the truth of her father though. Instead her mother wove a story that her daughter was actually a child she had taken in and when her horn started coming in, began claiming Parisa was in fact a long thought extinct unicorn. Eventually her mother and her took up with a traveling circus where Parisa was taught to preform and exhibited as a bit of a side show novelty. This is where she learned much of her skills as well as where she developed some of her more negative traits after her mother sold her as an indentured servant to the circus before leaving. Parisa claims she worked to pay off her own contract, but in truth she ran away and is constantly worried she might get caught for it. She was able to make a living by preforming jobs, accompanying traveling bards, and telling fortunes. She eventually made her way to the island with intentions to catch a ship to a neighboring kingdoms where she would be out of reach of her contract, but has let those plans go for a bit as she became settled.
Notes: This character has taken WAY longer then it should have. I bought this perfect pony design and started planning out this character way back in 2017 when I first started to expand my pool of characters. The idea was to make characters to fill out the world and be part of a larger story based project I have been slowly building in the background. This was also around a time I had started to formulate and redo a lot of my older character's references. I don't know why but I ended up sitting on this ref for so very long. Every time I would get close to being done, I'd find something else needed changing or new details needed to be added. While working on this ref, I've even completely switched computers and art programs, which I do think shows a bit. I am so happy this is finally done, not only because this ref has taken so long but also because I can FINALLY introduce and share this character with others. It's been a long journey with her, but glad I took it.
